Hi, I'm Kristi.

I am a passionate believer in the power of lifelong learning, and I'm certain that the best life is one spent constantly exploring, discovering, and growing. I believe that life is a never-ending learning experience and I'm dedicated to seeking out ways to continue my adventure. I'm always excited to explore what's out there!

How did I get here?

After completing high school, I transitioned from being a Maine native to becoming a Texas resident. My educational journey led me to Texas A&M University, where I met my husband. Following my time in college, I began a career in retail management before eventually getting my teaching certification. For 16 years, I had the privilege of teaching middle school students. However, the onset of the pandemic and the shift to online learning led me to further explore instructional design and e-learning content development. After designing and developing online material for PISD, my interest in instructional design grew even stronger. The knowledge and skills I gained led me to pursue a Master's degree in Instructional Systems Design and Technology at Sam Houston State. I successfully completed my degree in May 2023.

I have two children; my son is working in NYC as an assistant editor at NO6 and my daughter is a student at UVM studying cultural anthropology. When I'm not learning and working, I'm usually out running, hiking, traveling, or spending time with my family and friends. I also volunteer with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as a committee member for the Rodeo Run Committee. The past couple of years have been a period of significant growth for me as I pursued my master's degree. My unwavering determination and resilience have enabled me to overcome challenges, grow, and succeed. Both personally and professionally, I am looking forward to new and exciting opportunities.
